In typography, a typeface (also known as font family) is a set of one or more fonts each composed of glyphs that share common design features. Each font of a typeface has a specific weight, style, condensation, width, slant, italicization, ornamentation, and designer or foundry (and formerly size, in metal fonts).
You must use a monospace font (also known as typewriter font). That is a font in which all the characters take the same space. In CSS the font name monospace is translated to the default monospace font on the user system.
This is a test page meant to show you how various characters will appear if you have the Greek font properly installed in your system. As of this writing, the following Unicode fonts support polytonic Greek:
Each parameter should be set to a fontconfig font descriptor (as defined in the yet-to-be-written font chapter). The fonts used should have a Unicode mapping in order to find any non-Latin characters, such as Greek.
